Little things

In butterflies, robins, crickets and lilies.  Everywhere I look, I see God.

The churning of the rivers, the rustling of the leaves, owls whooing, even cows mooing.  EVERYWHERE I LOOK, I SEE GOD!

How can I explain it? I don’t know. His beauty, his humor, his gentleness….  Everywhere I GO, I SEE HIM.

As I give, He gives back; As I lend, He returns.  Always meeting, supplying, providing.

When I need a little nudge, a little help, a little hope; His hands lifts me right back to where I was. I can take hold of exactly what I need.

Then when I want to question His love; to question his ability; to questions if He’s here!- I SEE HIM AGAIN.

Little here, little there adds to a lot of God.  WoW!

Psalms 36:5

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

Fill me with your love that would not turn to another.

May I walk in your steps, show your love to others

and count all the things you do for me.

In Jesus name.

Chosen (period)

“I am unique. I am special.  I was made for a purpose.”

Is this what you say when you think about yourself.  What about,

“I am chosen for this time, born for this season, made for this hour with an intended purpose!”

Does this ring a bell?  Or have you never told yourself this.

In Jeremiah 1:5, the Lord God declared, “Before I formed you in the womb I knewyou,
before you were born I set you apart.” You were set apart BEFORE YOU WERE even BORN!

Not to mention, God’s great and abundant thoughts He has for us.  Hear His words: “I know the thoughts that I think toward you…thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer.29:11)

A planned out, expected and predetermined future God’s has for us.  Nothing of chance, accident or mistake!

The point is I am chosen by God to fulfil a purpose that only I can fulfil.  Think about it:  If I weren’t here, who would walk the dogs, sort those files, balance that account.  Who would teach the class, train that girl, or scrub that floor until it is actually clean!  Better yet, who would minister to that youth group, minister by music or dance, simply carry the tune of a nightingale. Who? Not Susan, Heather or Jane.  Just you.

God’s amazing love is far far more than we think!

When I look in the mirror at my hair, I think Numbered!   –Luke 12:7

When I look at my skin and my eyes, I think Wonderful!   –Psalms 139:14

When I think of the city I was born and raised, where I grew up, I think Planned!   –Acts 17:26

In His indescribable ways, God is painting a portrait of your life that will be magnificent!

Don’t take a second thought bout what others think of you.  What does God think about you!

I are chosen, unique, special, made for this time and designed for this season to bring honor to God!

Being Pressed.

TWELVE LONG YEARSTwelve long years.  Doesn’t that sound like a long time.

I went from kindergarten through highschool in twelve years. You probably did too! Twelve years?  Twelve years is certainly a long time.  Now imagine this, having a deadly disease for TWELVE YEARS.  That must have felt like a lifetime for this woman

In Luke 8:42-45, there was a woman with a flow of blood for twelve years, and she came to Jesus.  But what happened in this story?  She didn’t walk up to Christ, healthy and strong and say something like, “I beg your pardon Jesus, can I have a minute of your time.” This woman had neither the strength nor the time to do this.  She didn’t even approach Him from front.  Scriptures say that she “came from behind” Jesus and touched his skirt.

But most of her story started twelve years ago, when her sickness, this issue of blood, a type of illness where she was scorned from society, isolated her friends and family, something considered “unclean.”  But is illness not only isolated her from people, it also absorbed all of her money!  She gave every penny of her checking, savings…you name it for physicians the word of God says, she still “could not be healed by” (v. 43).  This sickness that drained her time, money and strength: to not affect.  Nothing changed, and for twelve years.  But she heard that JESUS was coming, and that he could heal ANY sickness, cure ANY disease, strengthen ANY weakness and release ANY chains. And she decided to press her way to him.

So this woman started her journey to Jesus.  I am certain at first she must of thought: there is just no way I can get through this huge crowd.  The first press, penetrating the outer circle of the crowd, reaching through people who may have recognized her, and saying something like woman, your not suppose to be here!  You are unclean.  And you are not worh Christ’s attention and time.

But she pressed on a second time, went through a second set of hurdles.  Now she was in the MIDDLE of the crowd, the middle of the heat, the controversy, the discrimination, the scorn.  Throngs and throngs of people surrounds her.  Should she stop. Should she give in: throw in the towel and say, this crowd is TOO BIG for me.

In a world where sometimes it feels like no one cares.  Everyone is focused on their own needs, their own concerns, their own desires and do not notice the woman in dier need.  They have not noticed you, and your “issue of blood”, loneliness, unhappiness or desires. But this woman continued to press on through the crowd, touched the skirt of Jesus, and was healed!

In the midst of her isolation, one person in the crowd noticed her-

Jesus. Crowds of people pressed against Christ: could it be hundreds, it could have even been thousands!

But Jesus replied, “Who touched me?”

His disciples asked Him what he meant.

But Jesus noticed this woman’s need.  Jesus noticed her loneliness, her helplessness, her sickness and disease.  Jesus noticed her!

He told her to “Your faith have made you whole,” “Go in peace.”  And from then on she was never the same.

Being pressed?  This woman was pressed for twelve long years and overcame.  So can you.

God Hears, Pain

3 prayers – 1 request.

“Lord, I have been on this job for 19, odd years and I haven’t gotten a promotion yet.”

“Lord, unlike other young women, I have lived a chaste life.  I didn’t touch anything related to sexual immorality or promiscuity!  I have simply waited on you.  But you haven’t sent me a man yet!  I don’t have a husband.”
“My life Lord have been on a downward spiral since leaving school.  I have made mistakes.  I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done. Hung out with the wrong crowd of people, taken substances I shouldn’t have taken.  My life is a mess!”  But Lord — BLESS ME.
The word of God says according to 1 Chronicles 4 verse 9, that there was a man named Jabez.  This man was “more honorable than brothers.”  He feared and worshipped God.  He lived a godly and righteous life.  But he was NOT perfect!  The name -Jabez- literally means “pain,” a name given by his mother because that’s what He brought to her!  In raising him, Jabez brought a lot pain and headaches.
But Jabez was tired of his situation and needed God to help him.  He cried, “Oh, that You would BLESS ME, indeed!,” enlarge my boarders, my possessions and my career.  Grant me, Lord, prosperity and favor, and keep pain and shame from me! The promotion You’ve wanted, the child you’ve been praying for, a godly husband that will actually love you as you are! is on its way.  Lord- BLESS ME! This is how our Lord responded: “God gave him what he asked” [the Message, 1 Chronicles 4:10]  Our God is so loving, kind and just, when we ask of him with a pure heart to give us something.  HE GIVES US OUR REQUEST. What a wonderful and marvelous God we serve!

He has given me my requests, I believe He will give you yours….

He keeps me in perfect peace!

Example of your daily schedule: 6am- Wake up, 6:05- personal devotion, 6:15- Get Ready. 6:30- Get the kids ready (OH MY!!), 7:00- Drop kids to school, 7:15- BE at work (not on my way there…), 8:00- Plan environmental recycle project meeting, 9:15- Make dental appt., 9:30- Run to the store (if I haven’t used my ONLY break yet), 9:50- budget planning meeting, And the morning isn’t even done yet!

In our BUSYNESS, let’s be reminded that though LOTS of responsibilities are on our plate, WORRY and ANXIETY are not one of them.

Phil. 4:6-7 says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything! Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. THEN YOU WILL EXPERIENCE GOD’S PEACE, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus

Let it go! Let go of the worry.  Let go of that situation or circumstance. And let go of anxiety about the future.  Walk in OUR FATHER’S PEACE.  And let Him surround you with his arms of comfort, and satisfy you with His love.

He is God of my life.  Is He God of yours?!! [For more information- Read John3:16, 1 John1:9…]

He will keep me in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him.

Woman of Character

Woman of Character

“A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.”
-Proverbs 31:10

Prayer for Couples

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your manifold blessings.  Right now I present every married couple.  Those across this nation. From California to New York, Washington to Florida, Montana and Texas included.  But also the Bahamas and the Caribbean.  May your hands be on the homes across this land.  Do not let your presence depart from them.  Do not let the power of your Spirit depart from the saints.  We rebuke the enemies hands from us and declare your presence in our families.

But TOO many homes have been torn apart and divided.  TOO many homes have ended up in separation and divorce.  TOO many children have been raised by one parent with the other nowhere in sight.  Too many are boys miss the training of a good man in the home.  TOO many daughters sell their incredible value to Satan and his plans because of broken homes, missing dads and the enticing lucre of the world.  Put an armor about our homes right now and may you restore divided families this nation.  A nation once holding clear moral standards and integrity, now compromised and confused.  Help us all to turn back to the truth of Your WORD.  May we hide it in our hearts that we might now sin against you.

Husbands, wives, children. May we perform our roles the way you have instructed.  Husbands loving their wives and children.  Wives submitting and honoring their men and children obeying their parents!  May Christian families today live in peace, unity and love and may our nations thrive because of this!

In name of our Lord and Savior,

Jesus Christ,

we pray.

Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.. -Psalms 127:1
