The MAN who knows your TRUE beauty.

There is a story in the bible of a woman who, while Jesus was sitting with his disciples at man- named Simon’s -house, that a woman interrupted the meeting.  Jesus ministered to her before and now had a gift for him.  She poured a very expensive oil- believed to have cost a year’s wages – on Christ. She took this oil out of her alabaster box and poured it on Jesus’ head.

But the disciples got angry. Had great indignation and replied, “Why this waste?”[Matt 26:8 NIV].  And one disciple exclaimed, It could have been sold for a high price and given to the poor.

This was a very valuable woman.  She had a very valuable perfume!  She could have used her perfume to get more money, more fame or more fortune, but she gave it to Christ!

But others said she wasted her oil.  She was called a waste.  You may have been called “a waste” in some way, shape or form.

A waste of someone’s time or resources; perhaps a waste of your parent’s money. A waste of your teacher’s efforts in school. You been said that you are a waste! Ugly, insignificant, INVALUABLE!

Like this woman, you gave up what was dear to you.  For various reasons: the crowd peer-pressured you, the team that said “everyone’s doing it.” The Guy/Gal that said, you gotta try.… alcohol, drugs, premarital sex, rebellion, disrespect, anything to get a little more money. Anything to get a little more attention, anything to get a little more time. And anything to get a little more value!

But your value is not the outside traits, your hair, dress or make up! But the internal beauty.

You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes

from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which

is so precious to God.  — 1 Peter 3:4

This beauty was given by our Lord Jesus, who MADE you.  This woman had a perfume that of GREAT VALUE.  She didn’t give to anyone else but JESUS! He valued her.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.  –Psalm 139:14
