Memory Verse: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Joseph was hated, despised by his brothers.
He was thrown in a pit, no one thought about his well-being.
Yet there was a dream! A dream that gave him hope in the midst of his trials.
He had a dream of victory, even though things around him screamed defeat.
Sold into bondage and for some thirteen years, he was subject to slavery, indentation, victimization and imprisonment.
Somehow God uses situation to mold us….
Like Christ, “He is despised and rejected of men; … and we hid as it were our faces from him.” -Isaiah 53:3
Simply unimaginable trials and difficulties filled Joseph’s life. The thing is some of us, or perhaps your brother or sister in the Lord can relate to Joseph.
But Joseph’s hope was not in people, or his own strength, His hope was in the Lord! – Psalms 146:5
And the dream did not die. The dream can not die, and the dream will not die until the work God began in our lives is accomplished!
Joseph words to his brothers:
But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. – Genesis 50:20
