Building Your Worth with Words

How many times have you said,

“Oh, if only I looked that her, then my life would be better!”

“Oh, if only I had that waist, those hips.”  Or “If only I had her talent, charisma or intellect!”

Have you or someone you know ever said,

“I wish I was a little more….”  And there’s nothing wrong with trying to improve some weak areas or seeking to be our best.  These thoughts pass through all of our minds occasionally; but it is when this becomes the norm and you allow repeated slandering statements to pass through your lips, then there’s the issue.

Proverbs 18:21 reads,

“Death & life are in the power of the tongue,

and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Our words have power.  You can either choose to build up your worth with your words, or you can tear down your own self.  You have two options.

I personally have had to learn this.  Now I can say “I am beautiful!”  And add to that smart, intelligent, talented & funny….  Without a blink.

It indeed may not be you tearing down yourself, but someone else and you are actually listening.

Ultimately, it is our enemy Satan who wants us to think & say negative “push down” things.  He wants to tear down in every way because he knows your the Daugter of the King.

1 Peter 5:8 says,

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”  Keep in mind, He’s no lion.  He simply roams like one.

I like the Amplified,

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

He sows thoughts and seeds of accusation to suit his purpose.

Instead of saying, “I am not fit for the task.”  Say:  “I can do all things through Christ.”

Instead of dwelling on past choices & saying, “I wish my life was like hers.”  OR  “I wish my life was like theirs.”

GIRL VERSION: Samantha: “Laura, I wish I was like you. You are sooo popular!”

Laura: “I know.” (As she tosses her wavy curls back) “Sam, you will never be like me.”

Does this bring back Middle school memories.

<<<<<<<<< Girls Can Be Mean! >>>>>>>>>>>

And Instead of saying, “I will never loss this weight or be her size.” Say: “I wasn’t meant to be that small!”

Start building up yourself.  Saying positive things! And stop trying to be someone else. You are a worthy vessel.

If you work so hard at being someone else, then you will miss the part of being you.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

                                                              – Psalm 139:14

Stop. Take a Breather

When was the last time as you ran between your “Gotta do’s” and “Done,” that you stopped  and took a breather.  I mean paused, to smell the roses?

One day while I was visiting central park in New York City, sitting on a bench and minding my business, the view of nature started to captivate me.  As I sat on that bench I began to hear the sound of many birds whistling & car horns ringing.  I observed the short grass and marveled at the tall trees, whose leaves just couldn’t seem to stay attach.  The warm sun rays beat on my face, yet a cool breeze safely countered its effect.  Nature being itself!  Birds searching for food, dogs- inquisitive as they are were simply searching.  People walking, strolling along with friends and some sitting nearby eating donuts!

What a beautiful earth The Lord has made!  All of the creation He has designed.  It was not me and certainly not you who wove such a beautiful tapestry and selected the sounds of I hears.  Remember: You were hand-crafted, especially-designed and God-breathed with specific plan & purpose.

But wrapped in the middle of this park’s beauty, was a homeless person sleeping on the ground with perhaps every item of his existence tucked under the sheet that covered him.

“Why doesn’t he have a place to sleep?” I thought.

There was also a lot of cars in the street, people flocked the park entrance, vendors were selling, buses touring.  But I chose not to look or listen to the noise, boisterous disarray while I sat, but purposefully chose to focused on trees, and the breeze.  Birds whistling and warm rays beat on my face.  In the midst of nature I hear the whisper- “I love You.  I made with a purpose.  You were fearfully fashioned to express the beauty and gifts captured deep inside of you.” -Psalm 139:14

While suspended between the “Gotta do’s” and “Done.”  Stop.  Take a breather.

You might find exactly what you needed in the beauty of God’s earth.

Who is this Jesus?

Prince of Peace

Who is this Jesus?

A Prophet?

A Teacher?

A rabbi from Galilee?

Peter knew Him.

He said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Here are His Names:

The Rose of Sharon

Lily of the Valley

Mighty God

Prince of Peace

King of Kings and

The Lord of Lords

He is:

The Bread of Life

The Living Word

Messiah and

If you are sick, He is the Great Physician

If you are thirsty, He is the Living Water

If you are lonely, He will NEVER leave you

When you need guidance, He is the Counselor

If you are bound, He is the Deliverer!

In Jesus’ Name.

Starved for affection- His love for you is BIG!

What do you need from Him?

Come to Jesus- His arms are wide open to YOU.

Pray this Prayer!

Lord Jesus,

Come into my heart.  Change my life.  Save my soul.

I’m sorry to those who follow my blog!!! I am a fraud and a hypocrite. I really don’t believe in this whole bible thing and what Jesus truly says. I am out for my own ministry and make a name for myself. So I really don’t care about earning a reward out of a pure heart from Christ, but will settle for my earthly rewards. Because Jesus doesn’t know what he is talking about regarding this whole divorce thing. That’s why I am divorced woman. I was inspired by Juanita Bynum and Paula White. And Look they have a great ministry despite what Jesus Says in Matt. 19. Wow! Disobeying God’s word is awesome, and you can still minister to people!!!

I also ignore other bible verses like:1 Cor. 7:10 But to the married I give instructions, *not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband 11 (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife. 12 But to the rest *I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are *holy. 15 Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace

I believe that you died, and rose again.  And today I make you Savior and Lord of my life.  Be with as I walk day-to-day.  Cover me with you angels, guard my lips and use my gifts for your Glory! Forever.

If you prayed that prayer find a Bible-based church, a copy of Word of God and feed off of it daily!

The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. Matthew 11:5

The Process of DIAMONDS

Shine like a Diamond

“Who can find a Virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.”  -Proverbs 31:10 NKJV

What are you worth?

Diamonds are formed deep within the earth – about 100 miles deep!  While buried there it looks nothing like a diamond.  Rather dirty, uncharacteristic (- like the lead of a no.2 pencil) and unknown.  This uncharacteristic, unknown, you may even say insignificant small mineral must withstand the process of its environment- and looks COMPLETELY different.

The Process: Take a small amount of carbon mineral and allow an incredible amount of heat to be applied.  Temperatures around the range of 2200 degree F.  Yes. That high!  It still look dirty and unattractive; however, all of unnecessary elements and components are being purged and removed from the rock. It is being purified.

The high temperatures aren’t sufficient.  Now apply an incredible amount of pressure to the element, 750,000 pounds per square in.  Its structure becomes organize and features stabilize into a beautiful lattice.  Then it is rush to the earth’s surface and allowed to cool.

May be like me you’ve went through ‘heat’ a long time.  Physical and relational pain, lost, discrimination and “the junk” you weren’t looking to get, but got.  Don’t grow tired.  Don’t get weary!

Now Pressure is at your door.  You’re pursuing a better career, but the pressure hurts.  You are wanting to start non-profit organization, charity or mission- but the pressure is overwhelming. You’re trying to complete your degree, but the pressure. Then faithful pressure we receive from loving family and concerned supervisors- though we know deep down it is exactly what you needed!

Do not give up. This message may not be for you.  Perhaps a friend of yours who is struggling in a specific area.  Perhaps they are trying to draw closer to God, but have been unsuccessful.  Temptation hard to avoid. Strongholds difficult to break. Maybe you know someone that’s have been raped or abuse and asking, “How could God allow this to happen?”

Believe me, Friend. Be encouraged!  This is not in vain.

Do not give up.  Do not lose heart, for God- the Master Designer- is making something that will display His Glory!

Galatians 6:9

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Shine like a Diamond!

Why do we worry so much!

Why do we stress ourselves unnecessarily?

One of my favorite songs growing up was- His eyes is on the Sparrow and I

                                                                              know He watches me!

While Jesus was teaching his disciple, He gave a scenario of two birds to drive home His point:

1. The Raven ( Luke12:24 )

2. The Sparrow ( Matt.10:29-31 )

The Raven:

Jesus went to say that the raven does not sow nor reap, plant nor harvest.  They really don’t do anything!  If you’ve seen a raven with a shovel or plow tracker, let me know. I will be there.

Scientists describe ravens as confident and inquisitive birds- so they are quite intelligent.  They dwell either alone or in pair unless they are around food sources and their lightweight posture gives them a graceful fly.

The Sparrow:

Sparrows are smaller birds and in Jesus’ day sparrow were a very cheap bird to purchase. Sparrows come in a diverse variety of colors and shapes. They love to sing and make rather quick brief flights.  “Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?” The cooper coin was the lowest value of currency at that time- equivalent to a penny.  A little value as the sparrow is God takes not of everyone.

God feeds the raven.

And not one sparrow falls to the ground and die without God knowing.

If God looks after these  birds of so little worth compared to humans, how much more will He take care of us.

Know that He’s thinking about you.  Know that God cares.  There is not a tear He has not seen or an prayer He has not heard!  He knows what you need before you ask and just as He is faithful to supply EVERYTHING- food, warmth, shelter, clothes- that a raven needs- Darling you know He’s got your back too!

Help me to continue to trust and to trust wholeheartedly in you,

knowing you will supply my needs according to you riches in glory

and that I have no need to fear anything.  You are with me and

are covering me in your feathers. (Psalm 91:4)

Justice for the Innocent

Injustice is still very much present in the world.  The Good News in the many cases of injustice today, justice still occurs today and women and girls are receiving the justice that’s due.

Story taken from Equality Now publications (see website):

Date- June 2013  Liz, a sixteen (16) year-old resident of the Busia County of Kenya, one day while she was walking home from her grandfather’s funeral, was kidnapped and gang raped by six male Kenyan residents.  Afterwards they left her unconscious, half dead, battered body in the pit of the community latrine (toilet).  Liz was still alive and then rescued by neighbouring villagers who reported the incident to the police.  At first the officers of the local Police Camp only gave the suspects mere “assault” charges.  But after the consistent petition of supporters and justice/ charity agencies the charges were upgraded to and arrest warrants issue. Justice groups include: Equality Now, Avaaz, REEP and the SOAWR coalition.  –

**According to, offenders of sexual abuse and sexual assault against women usually go unconvicted.  In fact, only an average of 3% of the perpetrators are imprisoned.  Out of one hundred sexual assault ad rape cases, forty of them are actually reported to the police, and out of forty only THREE of the felons will be convicted and imprisoned.  Justice needs to be served.

The A21 campaign is an international non-profit organization focused on defending & freeing men, women, boys and girls from the injustice o sex- and human- trafficking.  The organization is lead by speaker and philanthropist – Christine Caine.  Highly recommended-  Undaunted by C. Caine

Here are some testimonial from A21:  Miriam never had a birthday party, much less a birthday cake until this year, the year of her 16th birthday.  The staff and hosts at the A21 campaign threw a Sweet 16 Birthday Party just for Miriam.  Miriam: “I and the girls and this home will never forget this.”  The A21 campaign also provide full medical checkups it was found that she had had cervical cancer.  However, because of early detection and screening, doctors were able to successful remove all traces of the cancer and she is now CANCER-FREE!!

Her statement:  “God has given me a second chance and I am going to live life well.”

Praise the Lord!

Why care about these people: men, women, boys and girls?

Luke 4:18 – Jesus said He was sent me “to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind; to set the oppressed free.”

No one should be held captive against there will!  No one.

In Isaiah 58 God declares,

Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
