Name Above All Names – Jesus

The Angel came to Mary, a young virgin girl and said, “You will conceive and bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus:” the Son of the Highest! (Luke 1:28-31)

Then according to John 3:16, John 3:17 and Philippians 2:5-8: Jesus came on a mission not to condemn the world, but to SAVE it.

Then as a way to basically seal the deal, one day Jesus asked his disciples,

“Who do men say that I am?”

“Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah…or one of the prophets,” the disciples replied. But Peter interjected, “You are the Christ (the messiah or Savior), the Son of the living God.”

Other names we give Him:

Jesus- The Rose of Sharon, the Prince of Peace and Savior of the World.

The Lily of the Valley (Song of Solomon 2:1)

The Bright and Morning Star

Root and Offspring of David (Revelations 22:16)

The Bread of Life  (John 6:35)

The Word (John 1:1)

Jesus is:

the Great Intercessor

King of Kings &

Lord of Lords (Revelations 19:16)

And there is POWER in His Name

It was Peter and Jesus, who entering the temple to pray (Acts 3:1-10) AT 3om in the afternoon, when they came across a lame man at the temple’s gate.  He was a beggar and asked them for money.  Peter replied We have no money  “but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he walked!  The name that heals.

The apostle Peter, standing in front of a crowd of witnesses on the Day of Pentecost- Acts chapter 2- after seeing men and women filled with the Holy Ghost and beginning to “speak with other tongues [including various languages], as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Afterward Peter stood in the midst and declared, “These men are not drunk” as you think- since it is but the third hour, but this is a manifestation of what the prophet Joel had declare.  “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ”  The name that brings Salvation.

There was a woman at the Well who after having five husbands and being isolated from the women of the city- having come to Jacob’s well alone at the sixth hour, she finally encountered a man who knew her desires and thirst for something more.  Jesus replied, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you Living water.” So she asked him for this living water, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst…”  And departed blessed and freed from all hurts, eagerly telling her people “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did!”  The name that delivers.

What a Name!  Jesus

There is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved.

If you don’t know this Jesus in the pardon of your sins or you haven’t confessed Him publicly before others then, NOW IS THE TIME!  Today is the day of Salvation!

To Receive Jesus repeat this prayer after me:

Dear Jesus,

Come into my heart.  I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Wash me of all sin, make me new. I believe that you died and rose from the dead, and I confess it privately and publicly that you are the Son of God.  I am free because of the blood that you shed and sins that you paid.  From this point, on I will serve you for the rest of my life.

Pressing through Discouragement

Ever heard the phrase: “Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad.”

There are some days when we feel far from what we want.  Because of circumstances- joblessness, sickness, lost loved-ones or lack of finances, you seem to be sinking deeper and deeper in a sea of discouragement and frustration.  In need of a “Life” vest to pulling you through.  And life is sometimes difficult.  Life will have some very hard times.

You may have even felt like crying.  Crawling into a corner and weeping yourself to sleep, because of what you’ve had to endure.  Or you’ve experienced overwhelming feelings of loneliness.

BE STRONG! God knows

I’m sorry to those who follow my blog!!! I am a fraud and a hypocrite. I really don’t believe in this whole bible thing and what Jesus truly says. I am out for my own ministry and make a name for myself. So I really don’t care about earning a reward out of a pure heart from Christ, but will settle for my earthly rewards. Because Jesus doesn’t know what he is talking about regarding this whole divorce thing. That’s why I am divorced woman. I was inspired by Juanita Bynum and Paula White. And Look they have a great ministry despite what Jesus Says in Matt. 19. Wow! Disobeying God’s word is awesome, and you can still minister to people!!!

I also ignore other bible verses like:1 Cor. 7:10 But to the married I give instructions, *not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband 11 (but if she does leave, she must remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband should not divorce his wife. 12 But to the rest *I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are *holy. 15 Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace

You’ve had repeated dismay, hurt and failure and life seems hopeless. You’ve forgotten your existence, the reason God designed you and the purpose you are here!  But He says, “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer. 29:11

Though life has had major set backs, you still got to get up, dust yourself off and got back into the race.

Anyone that has been a runner or ran track for an extended period of time (something I too learned) knows that when you’re running, you must not look back!  Looking back repeatedly slows you down.  And we are in a race: life’s race.  You are currently running it, it has began on earth and will lead into eternity…

“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!” -1 Corinthians 9:24

Don’t let discouragement get you down.  When times get tough and you don’t see your way out… Do we give up? Do we throw in the towel.  We focus our thoughts in the prize laid out for those who trust the King (God Almighty) and we get back up again.

Romans 12:2

No, we press on. Push a little further and press our way through… the hardship, to the other side.

“But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 3:13-14
